Derby was preparing to see it’s third micropub after Derby City Council recently approved plans to convert a former dental practice, located on Burton Road in Littleover.
While the council approved of the idea, many locals didn’t feel the same way, sparking up objection letters and a petition.
Applicant, Neil Mansell said: “I don’t want any publicity – but I do have an excellent relationship with the neighbours and I really did not want to upset anyone unduly. Hopefully residents in the Littleover area will be very happy with what has happened.”
As for the building, this will now be used by a private tutoring service that will move in from two doors away, providing them the extra space they needed for the business.
