We previously mentioned how plans had been submitted by the the owners of The Wight Bear Ale House, in Southbourne, to open a sister establishment ‘The Saxon Bear Ale House’ in Christchurch.
We are happy to announce that Christchurch Council have approved the application. David and his wife, Nicola, are now set to convert the former lettings office to the latest Christchurch watering hole.
The council said that the change of use will bring “a positive contribution to the urban environment, adding to the vitality and viability of the locality.”
David & Nicola said that the new micropub will be aimed at mature drinkers and will be serving real ale at regular hours, between 9am to 11pm Mon-Sat and 10am-11pm on Sundays.
