It’s always sad when a micropub closes its doors, but it’s great when such a venue re-opens. Testament to this is The Hoptimist micropub in Draycott, Derbyshire, a new micropub that has opened in the same building as the previous micropub that closed a year before.
Situated in the Derbyshire Peak District town of Bakewell is the Joiners Arms, a bigger-sized micropub located in the town center.
Testament to the saying that ‘small is beautiful’ is The Last Post micropub in Derby, situated in a former post office now turned small watering hole.
It was the first micropub to open up in Derby back in 2012, and now fast-forward to 2024 and the Little Chester Ale House has had a takeover and makeover to boot.
