Earlier this month, Sidcup council’s planning committee granted a full license to former teacher, Murray East, allowing Mr. East to continue with his venture as the new micro pub comes closer to opening, he said:
“The feedback we have had from the local community over the past couple of months has been amazing
“They have been saying it is just what that part of Sidcup needs and we are really pleased that the council has recognised it.
“It was about 20 to ten when the decision was made. We went straight back to Sidcup and had a beer.”
He continued: “With Bexley now being at the forefront of the micro-pub scene, it is a very big draw to Sidcup.
“It is bringing investment and regeneration, which is only a good thing.”
The new micro pub is to be named ‘The Hoppers Hut & can be found at 1 Invicta Parade, on Sidcup High Street.
