Just last month applicant, Ryan Stones, submitted his plans to Durham County Council to convert former office space in Barnard Castle.
The application states that Mr Stones hopes the micropub will bring “conversation, community get-togethers and a welcoming atmosphere although there would be no Juke box, gaming machines, TV’s or loud music.”
To avoid any objections over noise concerns, in a resident impact statement, Ryan Stones stated that the micropub will contain signs to ask customers to quietly leave the premises & precautions will be taken to keep noise levels at a minimum.
Currently there are no objections regarding the micropub.
If approved, the micropub will serve real ales, real ciders, wines and craft lagers, along with bar snacks available from local suppliers.
