A new micropub has opened up in Hurts Yard in Nottingham city centre. The Barrel Drop is on the site of a former seafood restaurant and promises to have at least one local ale on at all times along with up to 11 other other real ales from around the country.
I paid this place a visit the other night and it a very well thought our micropub that adheres to all the micropub ideals, with no loud music or anything else to distract you from the main events of the evening good banter and good ale. But as micropubs go this is slightly larger than many but is still very intimate and the size allows for more rack space and a greater selection of casks.
