The Skew Bridge Alehouse takes its name from the bridge which is thought to be the one of the first of its kind in the world utilising a skew to span the railway. It will be in the former community police office in Dane Court and has received a lot of support from locals saying it will increase footfall and bring back an empty shop back into use and saying that the nature of a micropub will ensure that it will attract a sensible rather than rowdy crowd.
