The beer school premises had been largely derelict for a number of years and has undergone a massive make-over. Furnished with vintage school tables, stools and even a genuine rotating chalkboard, the beer school offers four real ale pumps and four keg taps. The difference here being that the cellar is open and stillage is placed directly behind the bar so, care of the beer and the traditional method of dispense can be admired. What’s more, the owner and her staff are passionate and knowledgeable about exactly what they’re serving. Flights, ale tasting sessions and meet-the-brewer events all add to the experience of the beer school and offer those with a keen interest somewhere to discover new and exciting beers.
