Just… odd, rude bar staff who’d rather use it as a chance to talk to his mates, beer a bit metallic and far too bright to relax in but a nice set of regulars, lacking the personality of other micropubs I enjoy but it may come with time

Limited beer selections but all good, friendly crowd and staff but little in the way of atmosphere, overheard someone call it “having a pint in a doctor’s waiting room” which is accurate.

  Thanks for your comment Mark – shouldn’t be too difficult to improve the atmosphere in small places like a micropub. I’m sure The Bastion would appreciate feedback so it might be worth feeding that back to them too.
