The Liverpool Pigeon micropub has been named Merseyside’s best pub for two consecutive years by the campaign for real ale (CAMRA) winning the previous years ‘pub of the year’ award after only opening five months before.

CAMRA said: “Congratulations once again to Pat and Jackie Moore and barman, Paul, for keeping up the high standards needed to win the competition.”

The judges described the the micropub experience as:  “comfortable atmosphere in that you can sit & chat, read the paper, do the crossword or whatever you want to do”.

With another saying that the Liverpool Pigeon offers:  “High quality beers bought and left to condition properly, producing a quality drink.”

Other positive comments left included:
