Oliver Brooks, former landlord of the Admiral Lord Rodney, opened a new micropub this month – The Tapster’s Promise.
The micropub is located on New Market Street which cannot be missed with it’s interesting interior, inside you’ll find chipboard-lined walls along with various pieces of art hanging around the pub. Mr. Brooks is hoping to host art sessions at The Tapster’s Promise, along with whisky tasting.
He said: “I think we make a very complementary triumvirate. I’m selling artisan and craft beers but also good quality continental beers from Belgium, Italy and Spain where brewing boundaries are really being pushed at the moment.”
