Applicant Wendy Sayers has submitted her plans to Stockton Council, hoping to provide the real ale lovers of the town with a second micro pub. Billingham received it’s first micro pub just last year, with the opening of ‘The Green Hops’, located on West Road.
The application states: “The proposed change is to encourage a community hub where the public can meet and enjoy quality real and craft ales.
“The offering of the new micro bar will be to provide a high standard of real ale drinks, sourced from local and small suppliers. The food menu will be small and fresh with the intention of attracting a mature and discerning clientele.”
If the application is successful, the micro pub will be located at the former Mexican restaurant ‘Mohujos’, on Station Road, which is owned by Wendy.
