Formerly the Chip and Pin micropub, which was owned by a small group of Melbourne people who shared a passion for real ale. During outings to the local beer festivals they discussed the idea of bringing a wider range of real ales to Melbourne and how to complement the existing popular pub and restaurant trade. When a disused bank became available in the town, the friends jumped at the chance to take on this old building and to give it a new lease of life. The bank has been sympathetically restored, respecting the needs of the conservation area whilst providing a new facility for the people of Melbourne and our many visitors.
